Haley Lever
(1876-1958)
Richard Haley Lever was born in Adelaide, Australia in 1876. He was painter who worked primarily with realist impressionism. He studied and taught at the Art Students League of New York. He was a member of the National Academy of Design, the National Arts Club, Salons of America, the Society of Independent Artists, and the Woodstock Art Association. His works were exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Corcoran Gallery Biennial, the MacBeth Gallery in New York, the National Academy of Design, the National Arts Club, The Panama Pacific Exhibition of 1915, The Pennsylvania Academy, Salons of America, The Society of Independent Artists, the Vose Galleries in Boston, and The Whitney Museum of American Art. He died in Mount Vernon, New York in 1958.
