Joseph B. Kahill
(1882-1957)
Joseph B. Kahill was born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1882. He studied under Richard Miller, Jule Prinet, Raphael Collin, and C.L. Fox. He was a member of the Portland Society of Artists, and his works were exhibited at the Society of Independent Artists in 1917 and 1920, as well as the Portland Museum of Art (Maine) in 1943. He had a solo exhibition at the Portland (ME) Museum of Art in 1943, and his work is in the collections of The Walker Art Gallery and The University of Maine. He died in Portland, Maine in 1957.
