Elinor Chambers

(1909-1995)

Elinor Chambers was born on June 11, 1909 in North Bloomfield, New York. After attending school in North Bloomfield and Honeoye Falls, she studied art and design at the Mechanics Institute in Rochester. She also studied locally with Carl Peters and took classes with Woodstock artist John Pike, as well as Norman Rockwell. Her works have been exhibited at the National Academy of Design in New York, and she exhibited regularly with the Rochester Art Club. She had numerous local solo exhibitions at prominent Rochester galleries from the 1940s into the 80s. She died in 1995.
