Mandy Sand
(1932-2004)
Mandy Sand was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1932 He graduated from art school in Bucharest in 1963 and emigrated to Israel in 1964. Sand’s works, which combine realism and fantasy, have been exhibited worldwide, including exhibitions in Italy, France, Canada, Germany, Venezuela, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, and the United States. In 1966 he won first prize in the Art Contest of the Cultural Center in Tel Aviv. Sand was a member of the Painter and Sculptors Association of Israel. He died in Israel in 2004.
